Modern Care Journal recognizes that publication is not the end of scholarly scrutiny. Readers and researchers may raise substantive questions about published articles through Letters to the Editor, correspondence, or other appropriate scholarly channels.
The journal maintains procedures for corrections, expressions of concern, retractions, and other post-publication actions. All such actions are based on an assessment of the available evidence and are intended to preserve the integrity and transparency of the scholarly record.
Minor errors that do not affect the scientific interpretation may be corrected according to the journal's correction procedures. Material errors or inaccuracies that affect the interpretation, reliability, or integrity of a publication will be addressed through a formal correction or other appropriate notice.
An Expression of Concern may be issued when substantial concerns about a publication exist but an investigation has not yet reached a sufficiently definitive conclusion, particularly when resolution may require institutional investigation or additional evidence.
A retraction may be issued when published findings are demonstrated to be unreliable or when serious research or publication misconduct materially affects the integrity of the article. Retraction is intended to correct the scholarly record rather than erase it.
Material changes to the Version of Record will not be made silently. Corrections and retraction notices will be clearly identified, linked to the affected article, and permanently associated with the publication record. Retracted articles will normally remain accessible with prominent retraction marking so that the scholarly history of the publication is preserved.
Article removal will be considered only in exceptional circumstances, such as serious legal, privacy, or safety concerns. Where removal is necessary, the journal will preserve an appropriate bibliographic record and provide a clear explanation where legally and ethically permissible.
Post-publication concerns may be submitted to the journal's designated editorial or publication-ethics contact route. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for ensuring that appropriate editorial action is taken, while institutional or independent authorities may be consulted when the matter concerns research misconduct, conflicts of interest, or issues beyond the journal's authority.
